When Enough is ENOUGH

Do you feel frustrated with events in your relationship?

Do you feel frustrated with events in your relationship?

Let’s face it, every relationship goes through hard times and persevere
through, making it to the other side with a bit more experience
behind them. Not every bump in the road is reason to give the
whole relationship up, but there are some things that are
plenty of reason to say, “enough is enough” and move on
alone. The following are ten things that should probably
signal the end of a relationship.

You think of cheating often – If you are thinking about being
unfaithful frequently, it is time to end the relationship that
you’re in. After thinking about it long enough, most people
will act on their desires eventually. This is a terrible way to
break off a relationship and will hurt your partner even more
than the breakup itself. It will also make you look bad, and for
good reason.

Loss of friends and family -If the person that you are in a
relationship with is trying to separate you from everyone else
that you care about, this is a relationship to run away from.
This type of behavior is a clear “red flag” that something isn’t
right. They are probably very jealous and controlling and may
escalate to being abusive.

All give, no take -If you find that you are constantly being
the one who gives up your wishes and does all the work in the
relationship, getting nothing in return, there is no reason to
stay in it. Relationships should go both ways, using
compromise as a key ingredient. If this isn’t happening, the
person who is doing all the giving will wind up exhausted and
eventually run out of energy to give any more at all.

Your partner is cheating – There are a few cases when a
cheater can change and become a faithful, loving individual,
but for the most part if a person has been unfaithful in a
particular relationship they are not prone to a just this habit.
There will also be trust issues that will be difficult or even
impossible to overcome.

You are trying alone – When a relationship goes through a
difficult time, you will have an opportunity to see how much
your partner feels the relationship is worth. If your partner
isn’t willing to put forth the effort to assists the struggling
relationship, it is probably time to let it go. A relationship is
about two people working together not one person trying to
fix all the problems by themselves.

You’ve forgotten who you are – There are some relationship
that tend to suck the life out of you, leaving you an empty
shell of your former self. Friends and family may notice a
change in you when you are around this new person in your
life. If your personality is changing to accommodate
another person, they are probably not the one for you. Move
on and find someone who will love you for who you really
are.

You have no goals or dreams any more – We all need to
have a dream, it’s what keeps us going when times get tough.
If you can’t remember your dreams and hopes, you are losing
one of the most important parts of yourself and the future will
begin to look bleak.

Abuse – Any form of abuse is reason to leave right now. If a
person hasn’t become abusive yet but is showing signs that
they will such as very dominant behavior, consider yourself
lucky and leave before your luck runs out.

You don’t like yourself – If you are starting to feel poorly
about yourself, or if you have for a while, there is something
wrong. It may not be the other person, but regardless, you
need to take some time to yourself and heal whatever is
hurting.

There are times that are hard to get through in relationships,
but if you are experiencing one or more of the above issues, it
is quite possibly time to take your leave. There are times that
there is nothing left to do but go your own way and do what’s
best for you. Those times are when “enough is really enough”!

  2. This design is spectacular! You certainly know how to
keep a reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved
to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Fantastic job.
I really loved what you had to say, and more than that, how you
    presented it. Too cool!
