The L.U.C.I.F.E.R Device

An illustration of the fallen angel

One of the world’s largest telescopes is called LUCIFER and it’s owned by The Vatican! Yea, the VATICAN, the major face of Christianity on planet earth. Why? I don’t know.

Although it shares the same name as Christianity’s fallen angel and the personification of evil, LUCIFER is an instrument attached to a telescope owned by The Vatican.

But chill first, LUCIFER is an acronym for the instruments lengthy title, “Large Binocular Telescope Near-infrared Utility with Camera and Integral Field Unit for Extragalactic Research.” Yea, right!

Mind the Instrument.

Mind the Instrument.

This instrument is attached to the University of
Arizona’s Large Binocular Telescop (LBT) located on Mt. Graham in south eastern Arizona, USA. The Vatican-owned Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope (VATT) is right next door.

The Vatican’s astronomical department is staffed with Jesuits that expect to find every kind of beautiful object out there made by the creator.

Hmm, “objects” they say. Like what? an alien’s shoe? Or a lost dinosaur?

And its funny how acronyms can be formed.

My lips are sealed.

What do you think? Please leave comments below.

Thanks.
