It is no longer news, but still worth mentioning, that after heated exchanges between top Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji and a certain @Mr AyeDee over the last one week, the blogger’s blog page -www.lindaikeji.blogspot.com – has been bizarrely shut down by Google.
The real story.
Linda had a petition written against her by @MrAyeDee, the man who ignited Twitter’s most trending topic in the last week.
Accusing the celebrated Nigerian blogger and former model of plagiarism, copyright infringement and other offences, AyeDee, took the matter to Google.
The online search engine giants sent out a notice to Linda Ikeji that it was investigating the matter. The first
action by google was to delete several posts from her blog, before finally taking it down yesterday.
Linda Ikeji had earlier responded to the plagiarism allegations in a lengthy post, refuting all the plagiarism claims and also revealing that an unspecified number of cyber squatters have acquired all the possible Linda Ikeji domain names on the internet and have been targeting her for years. Shocking!
Who’s the HERO and the VILLAIN?
Linda Ikeji has become a household name over the years. She regularly churns out news just to keep us informed.
Do we blame her for going over the odds(that is, if the plagiarism allegations are correct)?
Or does this problem stem from the fact that Linda Ikeji is successful, and she makes it obvious to all? (Putting the latest car she bought into perspective)
Has this success attracted haters who will do anything to bring her down?
It took only one man to bring her down. Others should be careful oooo.
