Jennifer Lawrence has become one of the most famous women in the world in what seems like a matter of minutes. Since breaking through in her first major role in 2010’s Winter Bone, the starlet has fronted one of the biggest franchises ever, won an Oscar and captured the hearts of the entire planet with her ‘she’s just like the rest of us’ quality which has made her the number one actress in the world right now. But her success has come at a cost – fame.
While most of us would do just about
anything to be famous, for Jen it’s literally her worst nightmare. While promoting the third installment of The Hunger Games, which opens in cinemas next weekend, the star opened up on her fear of fame admitting that she is terrified of leaving her house.
“I have nightmares all the time that I’m walking through a mall and people start surrounding me and there’s nowhere I can go,” she told the Daily Mirror. “So sometimes it’s easier to call one of my friends and ask them to pick up some bananas for me”.
Not that we can blame her. This year, the 24- year-old had her personal naked photographs leaked on to the worldwide web as she became just one of dozens of high profile names to have been targeted by hackers.
Calling the incident a “sexual violation” the trauma rocked the starlet who later admitted that she felt like her world had fallen apart.
JLaw went on to explain that despite being the most sought after leading lady in Hollywood right now, she’s actually just your regular girl next door. Only she’s (reportedly) dating the biggest rock star in the world and
has an Oscar on her fireplace.
“I have perspective because I didn’t grow up in this business,” she says. “I didn’t become successful until a few years ago and I’m very aware of what the real world is and how much a couch costs”.
Jennifer stars in the most anticipated movie of the year as the record-breaking heroine Katniss Everdeen in the upcoming The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part One. The third installment of the enormous franchise
opens in cinemas worldwide on November 21.
